International Relations Office
International Relations Office (IRO) has been established as a necessity for increasing the international visibility of Banat University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine „King Michael I of Romania” from Timisoara, which is included in the strategic plan of the institutional development. Our main objective is the integration into the European higher education system from the structural, qualitative and economic point of view, but also the improvement and the modernization of the training system and of the use of the personnel involved in the formative and research process, the assertion of the scientific performances of its members in the participation to the international communities of specialists and inter-university cooperation.
Mission of IRO
The International Relations Office (IRO) has the mission to support international academic collaboration activities with prestigious universities, to strengthen cooperation relations with international partner institutions, to promote student exchanges to increase internationalization, to create favorable conditions for professional development of the staff involved in the training and research process, to integrate specialists in an international competitive environment.
Objectives
- Improving and implementing the strategy for increasing the international visibility of BUASVMT as a prestigious university in agronomic and veterinary higher education, with a national, European and international scale;
- Initiating and signing partnerships with similar international universities but also companies that will become strategic partners in international cooperation, both through mobility and research projects;
- participation in exhibitions and academic events in order to promote the educational offer of the university in French and English;
- developing a plan to attract foreign students as an essential element of the promotion of USAMVB “King Mihai I of Romania” in Timisoara; – adherence to mobility programs for students and teachers, attracting prestigious international lecturers;
- Recognizing of qualifications and standards for both outgoing and incoming students through the ECTS system;
- Improving the implementation of the Erasmus + program by increasing the number of student mobility (whose internships are recognized as working abroad);
- Providing support for foreign students and foreign guests of the University intending to study at our university or just to visit us;
- Correlation of curricula with those of the signatory countries of the Bologna process, while increasing the number of English and French teaching programs;
